German Lyric Poetry, specifically Hölderlin’s poetic structures, the
German Short Story, German-Texan Heritage and the Fascination of Germans
with the Llano Estacado.
Awards:
Dr. McClain is the recipient of the Lucius Clay Medal (2001) for
outstanding work in the field of German-American relations and the German
Government’s Bundesverdienstkreuz for her service in promoting German
Studies in the United States (2002).
