Academia de los Nocturnos

The Academia de los Nocturnos is based on the Spanish Golden Age academy from which it takes its name. The academy seeks to further Hispanic/Luso-Brazilian studies in literature and the arts. Members read material from the required graduate readings lists and meet bi-monthly to discuss them. In addition to helping prepare students for comprehensive exams, students are able to socialize with peers outside of the university. Members are also encouraged to share their creative works, be they literary, artistic, or musical, in the meetings. Non-members are welcome to sit in.
